# 8.5.1 Accelerometer Calibration:

Calibrating the accelerometer is essential to account for biases, scaling, and misalignment errors in acceleration readings. To do this in AeroGCS GREEN:

1\.      Click the "**Calibrate**" button in front of the Accelerometer. The following screen will be displayed on the user’s screen.

To begin calibrating the accelerometer, simply click the "**Start**" button.

This ensures accurate acceleration measurement before each flight.
