6.1.2 Manual Flying Method

AeroGCS GREEN grants users the capability to assume manual control of a drone via a remote control (RC), accompanied by a comprehensive, step-by-step guide on how to monitor the flight path.

This will be indicated by the appearance of the "Arming Motors" message on the screen, as illustrated in the image. Subsequently, the flight precheck screen, as displayed below, will follow.

Step 2: Manual flight control will be executed using the RC device in the field. To monitor the flight, give the commands through the RC. Users can track the manual flight progress through the Flyview feature in AeroGCS GREEN, as illustrated in the image below.

Configuring Flight Boundaries in Manual Fly View

The manual fly view offers comprehensive control over your drone's operational area through a designated virtual fence. This section details the functionalities for managing the fence boundary:

Fence Boundary Slider:

  • A dedicated Fence Boundary slider is conveniently positioned on the right side of the screen.

  • To decrease the fence boundary (minimum allowed distance: 2 meters), utilize the "-" button.

  • Conversely, to increase the fence boundary (maximum allowed distance: 500 meters), utilize the "+" button.

  • This slider dynamically adjusts the maximum permissible flight radius from the drone's current location.

Minimizing Fence Boundary Widget:

  • For a streamlined user experience, the Fence Boundary slider can be minimized by clicking the ">" button adjacent to it.

  • This action condenses the widget while preserving the currently defined boundary settings.

Inner Fence Boundary:

  • This advanced feature enables the creation of a more restricted zone within the established outer fence boundary.

  • To modify the shape of the inner fence, simply drag and reposition the designated yellow waypoints.

  • Additional waypoints can be strategically inserted within the inner fence area by clicking the "+" button which is available on the inner fence boundary.

  • As you adjust waypoint positions or add new ones, the AeroGCS GREEN will automatically recalculate and redraw both the inner and outer fence boundaries to reflect the modifications.

Step 3: Upon completion of the manual flight, a field report will be generated, as depicted in the following screen.

After filling in all the fields of the field report, simply click on the "Done" button to save the report. This report can then be synchronized with the user’s AeroMegh Account, as illustrated in the screens below.
